Most Recognised Logos
Here is a collage of the most recognised logos. Colour and simplicity seem to me be the importance and the fundamental reason that makes these logos a success
Matrix Logo
Final Fantasy Logo
Here is a range of Final Fantasy Logos taken from their game series. You can see that they are very consistent in terms of font colour and style. the only thing that changes is the image behind the text, and this is because these are images of the main characters for that particular game. The soft tones and simplistic images make it very appealing, and because of their consistency, it is immediately identifiable to the eye. Again, simplicity here is the main factor which makes this games logo a success.
Street Fighter Logo

Here are 2 examples of the Street Fighter logo. One for Street Fighter 2 and the other for Street Fighter 4. You can see there is a clear difference between the two as they were created many years apart. I personally prefer the Street Fighter 2 as it is iconic and personally to me it reminds me of my childhood as I used to play this game whilst I was still in primary school. The Street Fighter 4 logo, doesn't look as appealing to me, as it just looks as if the designers are trying too hard to impress, and this tells me that many time especially with logos, simplicity is best

Design that communicates well
Design that communicates well
Design that communicate well

We were asked to look for 3 bits of design that communicate well.
When this was thrown out to us the first thing that came to mind was the Mcdonalds sign
I feel this communicates well because of its bright colours, it is obviously targeted towards a younger audience (even though older people enjoy Mcdonalds). Im sure that the majority of the world recognise this logo, especially children who always get excited when they see it
